Mexican Animals : I traveled to Queretaro, Mexico for 10 days in March 2009. I was fortunate enough to travel around the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve with some good friends and great naturalists. The reserve is an amazing place where you get a mixing of temperate species such as black bears and mountain lions with tropical species including jaguars, ocelots, and military macaws. Here are some animals that I saw during my trip.

Your Bio

I'm a graduate student at the University of New Hampshire studying the ecology and conservation of amphibians. I received my Master's in Biology at the University of Missouri where my research focused on the effects of forest management on amphibian populations. For more information on my research visit http://sites.google.com/site/danieljhocking/

I enjoy the outdoors, especally hiking and canoeing. I also enjoy running and cycling but my recent obsession has been photography. While I take pictures of anything that catches my eye, I generally concentrate on close-up photography, particularly of amphibians and reptiles.
